was honorable mention all-state as a junior
and all-district as a sophomore...set school
record for a freshman in the shot put with a
toss of 45 feet...played for coach Clark Benne
in football.

Ferg...born October 26, 1984 in Norfolk,
Neb....has two brothers, Matt and Sid...undecided
on his major.
Stuart Frazier
FB, 5-11, 215, McCook, Neb.
Player Notes: Earned Class B All-State and
All-Class, All-State honors as a linebacker
after setting records at McCook High School
for rushing in a season and career and making
100 tackles as a senior..three-sport standout,
he also has set the record for most wrestling
wins and is nearing the state record for
wins...averaged 8.3 yards per carry playing
under Coach Jeff Gross...also has lettered in
track.
Personal: Son of Joe and Jody Frazier...born
June 23, 1984 in McCook...has a sister, Sarah
Jo, and a brother, Sam...named McCook’s student
of the year and athlete of the year...member
of National Honor Society...plans to major
in biology and plans to become a physician.

Player Notes: Earned Class C-2 All-State
honors under coach Chad Caattau at
Hartington Cedar Catholic High
School...three-sport standout in basketball,
football and track...also earned all-state honors
as a junior...holds the school records for squat
(600), bench (310) and hang clean (300).

Hochstein...born November 11, 1984 in
Hartington...chose to attend UNO because of
the facilities and the people...will major in
business & finance.

Coach Jason Hale...a four-year letterman in
football, wrestling and track, he is one of the
top heavyweight wrestlers in Class B...earned
all-district two straight years in football and
all-region as a senior.

1985 in Auburn, Neb....will major in construction
management...chose to attend UNO
because of the coaching staff and the school’s
atmosphere.

All-State honorable mention honors as a senior
while playing for Coach Marty Going at
Millard South High School...also a standout in
basketball and baseball...was All-Metro honorable
mention in baseball and earned academic
all-state honors in basketball...was a
McDonald’s All-American student athlete
nominee.

Krause...brother of current Maverick wide
receiver Ryan Krause...born January 30, 1985
in Omaha...will major in engineering...chose
to attend UNO for its engineering program
and its football program.

Player Notes: Class B All-State selection
after setting Gretna High School records with
seven interceptions and 76 solo tackles under
Coach Todd Mueller...also played basketball
and golf.
Personal: Son of Rod and Kathy Kush...born
September 22, 1984...has a brother, Troy...his
father, Rod, was a defensive back in the
National Football League with Buffalo and
Houston after a great career at UNO and is in
the UNO Athletic Hall of Fame.
Robert Lewis

Player Notes: An All-Class, All-State pick
after a great senior season at Kearney High
School under Coach Brandon Cool...was Class
AAll-State and the defensive player of the
year in the region...also was runner-up in the
discus at the state track meet as a junior and
earned all-conference, region and district honors
in basketball...threw the discus 161 feet as
a freshman to set a school record.

Lewis...born January 2, 1985 in Kearney...has
