Craig Haake is entering his 21st year as the Gothenburg head coach. His team is coming off of an 8-3 season last year, and he returns eleven starters from last year's squad.
Gothenburg has reached the Class C-1 quarterfinals each of the last three seasons, last fall being eliminated by eventual champion Cozad. The Swedes have also won at least one playoff game every season since 2007.
