Class A
1. Millard North (10-0)
2. Lincoln Southeast (9-1)
3. Omaha Burke (7-3)
4. Omaha North (8-2)
5. Millard South (8-2)
6. Millard West (7-3)
7. Creighton Prep (7-3)
8. Omaha Westside (7-3)
9. Omaha Central (6-4)
10. Kearney (8-2)

Bob Sez: Central makes the biggest news, and earns a No. 9 ranking, knocking off former No. 3 Kearney, dropping the Bearcats to No. 10. Burke continutes to impress, sidelining Westside in the first round, dropping Westside from No. 6 to No. 8. Omaha North beat Lincoln Southwest for a second straight time, 28-10, in the first round of the playoffs, moving up a spot to No. 4 and knocking Southwest out of the rankings.

Class B
1. Beatrice (10-0)
2. Gretna (9-1)
3. Omaha Gross (9-1)
4. Omaha Skutt (9-1)
5. Norris (8-2)
6. Elkhorn (7-3)
7. Scottsbluff (9-1)
8. Aurora (8-2)
9. York (6-4)
10. Ralston (6-4)

Bob Sez: York jumps off the bus in Scottsbluff after a five-hour bus ride and topples for the former No. 2 Bearcats, allowing York to jump in at No. 9 while Scottsbluff falls to No. 7. Why is Scottsbluff ranked ahead of York? The body of work over the course of the season. The dynamic that is the results of the games between Scottsbluff, Aurora, York and Grand Island Northwest makes your head spin. Let's leave it like this for now and see what happens when York faces No. 6 Elkhorn, the defending champ, in the quarterfinals. Gross, which handed Skutt its only loss so far this season, will get a rematch with the SkyHawks in the quarters.

Class C-1
1. Adams Central (9-0)
2. Norfolk Catholic (8-1)
3. Boone Central/Newman Grove (8-1)
4. Kearney Catholic (9-0)
5. Pierce (8-1)
6. Wahoo (8-1)
7. Wilber-Clatonia (8-1)
8. Fort Calhoun (8-1)
9. Grand Island Central Catholic (7-2)
10. Boys Town (6-3)

Bob Sez: Former No. 8 Columbus Lakeview lost to Lincoln Christian and former No. 10 Cozad lost to Gothenburg 23-0, opening the door for GICC to re-enter at No. 9 and Boys Town at No. 10. Wilber-Clatonia at Pierce, in what should be a defensive battle, highlights this round but is it too soon to let your mind drift to the quarters, where Kearney Catholic and Adams Central could face each other? No, I didn't think it was either...

Class C-2
1. Aquinas (9-0)
2. Lutheran High Northeast (9-0)
3. North Platte St. Pat's (9-0)
4. Sutton (9-0)
5. Crofton (8-1)

Class D-1
1. Howells-Dodge (9-0)
2. Elgin/Pope John (9-0)
3. Creighton (8-1)
4. High Plains Community (8-1)
5. Guardian Angels Central Catholic (7-1)
6. Exeter-Milligan (9-0)
7. Hartington (9-0)
8. Burwell (9-0)
9. Arapahoe (9-0)
10. Hemingford (9-0)

Bob Sez: All top ten teams won in the opening round. The BDS-Creighton second round game will be a headliner - you just get the feeling BDS should have been ranked all along - while high powered High Plains will face Hartington's stingy defense, GACC gets another shot at Howells-Dodge and I will be interested to see how Hemingford's defense holds up against unranked Loup City's hot running game.

Class D-2
1. Giltner (9-0)
2. Humphrey St. Francis (9-0)
3. Falls City Sacred Heart (9-0)
4. Kenesaw (8-1)
5. Shelton (8-1)
6. Lindsay Holy Family (8-1)
7. Bertrand (9-0)
8. Medicine Valley (9-0)
9. Sterling (7-2)
10. Garden County (9-0)

Bob Sez: All top ten teams won in the opening round, Giltner scoring 90 for a second straight game. Big games in the second round include the battle of unbeatens at Curtis, where Garden County visits Med Valley, while Bertrand will travel to face Kenesaw in another top ten pairing.

Six-Man
1. Wauneta-Palisade (9-0)
2. Sioux County (8-1)
3. Silver Lake (8-1)
4. Elkhorn Valley (7-2)
5. St. Edward (5-4)

Bob Sez: Wauneta-Palisade wins its third No. 1 v. No. 2 game of the season, downing Silver Lake 38-22. Silver Lake slides to No. 3, while Sioux County moves back to No. 2; both teams have lost only to Wauneta-Palisade. In last Friday's first round of playoff games Elkhorn Valley beat St. Edward, 25-20. Final four in the playoffs include your top four ranked teams with the next round of games set for this Friday.
