West Bracket

No. 8 Alliance (3-6) at No. 1 Aurora (9-0). 6 p.m. Defending champs looked great last time out, vs. Adams Central, and now face Alliance, a team it beat in the second round last season...Aurora 30, Alliance 8.

No. 5 McCook (6-3) at No. 4 Ogallala (7-2). 7 p.m. MT. Rematches have been numerous in the first round and that's the case here. Ogallala won in overtime last week at McCook - the Bison's third home loss this season. Can they do it again?...Ogallala 27, McCook 18.

No. 6 Seward (6-3) at Adams Central (8-1). 7 p.m. Of all the first round matches, this could yield the biggest upset because I am sold on Seward. Just not enough to call for an upset...Adams Central 28, Seward 24.

No. 7 Lexington (5-4) at Gering (8-1). 2 p.m. MT. Gering has been pretty darn good all season long and will win at home...Gering 28, Lexington 14.

East Bracket

No. 8 South Sioux City (4-5) at No. 1 Omaha Skutt (9-0). 7 p.m. Skutt could be the best team in Class B...Skutt 38, South Sioux 14.

No. 5 Crete (5-4) at No. 4 Plattsmouth (7-2). 7 p.m. Crete has been great over the last month, winners of five in a row, while Plattsmouth has lost only to 9-0 Skutt, 8-1 Blair. I smell an upset...Crete 16, Plattsmouth 14.

No. 6 Omaha Gross (7-2) at No. 3 Blair (8-1). 7 p.m. Blair has won eight in a row and has a powerful running game, a great asset come postseason...Blair 21, Omaha Gross 14.

No. 7 Gretna (4-5) at No. 2 Waverly (8-1). 7 p.m. Another rematch from Week 8, when Waverly won by four touchdowns...Waverly 35, Gretna 7.
